Laser Cladding is a unique process with fundamental differences in its application compared to other cladding technologies such as thermal spray, plasma coating, or arc welding. Laser Cladding creates a new surface layer from a different material to that of the substrate. This new layer is bonded to the substrate through fusion, with little or no porosity.
